Ukrainian Orphans Hosting Project

Preliminary Hosting Dates for Summer 2012 are: July 13th – August 5th.

The question we get asked the most is “How does hosting help an orphan from Ukraine?”

Think about summer camps. What does one get from a summer camp?  Time away from day-to-day life, meeting new friends and forming new relationships, hearing about God.   And for orphans, it’s also learning basic life skills, getting to see a dentist, learning how to live in a family, being tucked in at night, having a Birthday celebration they might not have ever had before, and receiving lots of love, hugs and kisses from their host family.

What happens after they go back, you might ask?  They now have a prayer warrior, as host families are not likely to forget the child(ren) they hosted, and pray for them. Host families can keep on communicating with the kids by writing letters, and what orphan wouldn’t like to receive his/her own letter?!  And last, but not least, some families will adopt after their hosting experience.

These are the faces of orphans in Ukraine…it is kids like these that will be coming to the US next summer. Take a moment to catch the vision and pray about how you can partner with us!

Do you want to be an orphan’s family for 3-4 weeks in the summer? Give us a call at 425-686-8522 or e-mail us at info@windowtohope.com.

I would like to be a host parent for the summer. I reside in Everett, WA. Please get back to me if you still need volunteers. Thanks

$20.00 is four Starbucks drinks you could skip; one meal out at a restaurant that you could skip; a night at the movies you could pass up; two book orders from Amazon or BN that you could skip and check them out at the library instead; a birthday present you could make instead of buying. $20.00 is easy to come up with.

What a great opportunity to help kids in such a significant way with such a small contribution. We’re in.
